Magic Moment of the Week: Penguin Rescue!

While hiking Robberg, we noticed a stranded penguin on the rocks of the peninsula. It was the day after our lecture on rescuing stranded animals and we were able to help rescue this penguin. We brought him to Tenikwa Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, where he was treated for dehydration. He is expected to be released soon.
Magic moment of the week: White shark diving in Mossel bay

This weekend we went to do white shark diving in Mossel bay (1,5 h from plett) it was one of the most amazing things to do. They are massive beautiful, graceful, gigantic and scary. The adrenalin is on max and something you will never forget to have seen.
Magic moment of the week: Coming face to face with an African elephant

My magic moment of the week was coming face to face with an African elephant. The sheer size and power of this animal was incredible, yet she was so gentle. This experience showed me the great respect and understanding needed to work along side a wild animal.

Whoever said that rock pools were boring have never looked close enough. We found a plum anemone in the phase of budding. What is that, well it is reproducing. Creating a miniature version of itself!

What amazing luck we had when on a hike to Salt river we ran across a puff adder shy shark dead on the beach. Magic moment of the week: Watching the Southern Right Whales while on the boat

My magic moment so far is defiantly watching the Southern Right Whales while on the boat. I was even lucky enough to be spat on by the whale while looking in to its blowhole whilst it swam under the boat.
