Hermit Crabs

Hermit crabs adapt to there body’s by carrying a shell on there back and when they out grow them, the shells are discard. When the hermit crabs find a larger shell that they can fit into they fix their bodies into the shell and then carry around for protection. The hermit crabs’ habitat is around sandy beaches that are interrupted by rocky points. The diet of hermit crabs varied and can include: Plankton creatures such as krill, Molluscs such as Sea snails, Vegetation such as seaweed They reach sexual maturity at 18 months, they are born in shallow waters and their life span can be up to 15 years.
